On the dogs who stopped barking while wearing the collar the owners were able to remove the collar after a period of time and the dogs still did not bark. All bark collars for dogs are not designed to hurt or punish your dog rather they are just a correction training tool. The stimulation collar is compared to the static electricity produced by walking over carpeting.
